HOW WE APPROACH CHANGE

Start with the people.
Improve the work.

Good change connects the purpose of the organization with the experience of the people doing the work.

Theory is experience made portable.
Roxy’s teaching philosophy
  1. 01

    Understand what matters.

Listen to the people involved. Clarify the challenge, the stakes, and the decision that needs to be made.

  2. 02

    Make a thoughtful choice.

Bring evidence and experience together. Consider the process, the culture, and who benefits from the change.

  3. 03

    Put it into practice.

Take a manageable step. Learn from what happens, document what works, and give people the support to carry it forward.

Meet Roxy

Roxann “Roxy” Allen, PhD

CO-OWNER · KIOKO CONSULTING LLC

Roxy brings together leadership development, organizational culture, facilitation, and business education.

At Catholic Relief Services, her work included leadership development and culture strengthening through racial equity work. That experience shapes her attention to trust, participation, and the human consequences of organizational decisions.

Her business teaching at Shepherd University and the University of Virginia connects theory with practical questions about leadership, systems, and how work gets done. Today, she brings those perspectives to coaching and the opportunities and challenges of AI-enabled change.

A FEW PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before we begin.

Who is this work for?

Nonprofit leaders, workforce organizations, and service businesses navigating change. We can start with an individual leadership challenge, a team conversation about AI, or a specific process that needs attention.

Can we work together remotely?

Yes. Coaching and collaborative consulting can be delivered virtually. We’ll discuss the format that fits your team, your time zone, and the work you want to accomplish.

How are scope and fees decided?

We begin by discussing the challenge and the support you need. Before an engagement starts, we agree on the scope, deliverables, schedule, and fee so you have a clear understanding of the work.

Do we need to know exactly what we need?

No. Start with the situation you’re facing and what you hope will change. A conversation can help us identify a useful starting point and whether the services are a fit.
